Poem: Yesterday

" Yesterday "

A cup of coffee in my hands.

Searching for something I can not grasp.

You are off on the other side.

We do not see things eyes to eye.

I realise though the heartache and pain.

Even though we still remain.

We have gone our separate ways.

We have lost what we had close.

You do not look at me.

I have no words for you.

Where do we go, go from here.

What do we do to bring back the tears.

The questions are all the same.

The answers are no answers.

But the questions remain.

It seems we are slowly falling fast.

Drifting into yesterday.

Try to find a better path.

But the better path so yesterday.

The love we had has gone into the past.

We have moved.

We were yesterday.
