Hi everyone,
It has you been a long time since I post last.
I just spent the past year doing my Bachelor's degree in educations.
It was hard and challenging to complete while working 6 six days a week.
I gained weight : ( have to start exercising again with earnest.
I decided to post my 10 essays and the introduction to them on here for the benefit of all.
The introduction and the 10 essays will be a condensed and edited so that will not need to sit through some long academic-bore-read lol 笑.
I hope that you find my essay on 10 different TESOL teaching methods interesting.
Also the methods can be applied for basically any learning.
Please feel free to offer any comments, criticism and, or suggestions.

Saint Paul's (Rikkyo) University 立教大学
As some of you may know, on Thursdays I taught at Rikkyo University (aka: St Paul's) for a semester. I will be teaching there again starting this October but this time on Monday's and Thursday's.
Rikkyo is a very pretty university and has an English look to it. I recommend it for the visual pleasure of it.
I enjoy the classes I taught there and the students are wonderful. The course theme I selected was to discuss about a company that the students would like to work at someday in the future or they just are interested in a particular company.
At the end of the course each student had to presentation on the information we talked about in class and their research into the company they choose. All of the students amazing well, considering the fact that they had to study and prepare for exams & reports. I am very proud of all of them.
If I were to give an M.V.P. award, it would go to Ryousuke for the amount of research he did and the passion in which he displayed. I sincerely hope that he does try to join the company hr did his presentation on.
My final words to him, and for everyone is: "Nothing is impossible, but not to try must be impossible" and "Just try, the worst they can say is no".
To all the students, I wish the the greatest success in your future endeavours and hopefully we may meet again.

Well the books went on sale in the book store in Japan on Sunday (22nd November 2009).
I went and check out a few book store to see how the books were selling. The "Listening" book is selling more that the "Reading" one but this is understandable since most Japanese struggle more with listening part of the Toeic test than the reading part.
I do hope that the books are a marvelous success, Emiko (The author) has worked hard on them to make a book that will benefit everyone wishing to take the Toeic test.
With this I have put Emiko Matsumoto's photograph, Bio-info and a link to her blog {Click the title of my blog} (sorry all in Japanese). Plus as you can better pictures of the two books and there covers. So what are you waiting, quickly run to the book-store, jump on-line and buy the books today, no now, before they are all sold out. Seriously everyone, they are wonderful books and will definitely help anyone wanting to get a better score in the Toeic test. So I do highly recommend that you buy them for yourself, someone you know or please recommend them. Furthermore the cool thing about the books is the size: large enough to be read easily but small enough to be carry in a bag, jacket-pocket. So you can use the books basically anywhere plus with the listening section being down-loadable, well you are free to practice just about anywhere.
Enjoy everyone.

Toeic Books
A colleague of mine , Emiko Matsumoto 松本恵美子, at Nichibei Eigo Gakuin Shibuya school 日米英語学院渋谷校 has been working on some Toeic books for the listening and reading parts of the Toeic test.
Ms. Emiko Matsumoto asked me if I could help with the books by checking the English for grammar, structure, vocabulary use and naturalness.
I was only too happy to do this for her because I had never done this type of book editing work before and also if someone who is going to write something to be publish I want me to help, I will assist them in any way I can.
So now the books are finished.
The titles of the books are:
新TOEIC TEST 必達 550点 「リスニング編」
新TOEIC TEST 必達 550点 「リーディング編」
or in Roman letters:
shin TOEIC TEST hittatsu 550 ten" "Listening hen"
shin TOEIC TEST hittatsu 550 ten" "Reading hen"
They are being published by Nippon Nikkei Keizai Shimbunsha 日本日系経済新聞社.
They will be on sale at book stores throughout Japan on the 22nd of November 2009, Sunday.
The price will be 945yen each and there is a web-site in which you will be able to download the listening material and some other things as well.
I enjoyed doing this work very much and I hope that the books sell well, so you guys out there BUY A COPY even it you do not need one. Want a signed copy, then hey, get a copy and I will sign it and more importantly I will ask Emiko, the author, to sign it as well.
In all seriousness though, I believe that if you are studying for the Toeic test, interested in taking the test, or know someone you is, then you should get these books or recommend the books to the people you know; these books will help you to get a higher score in the Toeic test.
I am proud of the work done and hope that more work like this will follow.
I would very much like to thank Emiko for asking for my help. I enjoy the work quite a lot. Also I am humble by the fact that Emiko had my name put on the front cover of the books under her name. This is a great honour, a wonderful surprise and I am full of gratitude.
Eventually I hope to be writing my own material but probably not text books but poetry or stories (fiction and non-fiction), then again I think that all my years of teaching have given me something to write about in a text book that may benefit people who wish to develop and improve their English communication skills.
I have included some photographs of the (possible) covers. The covers will look something similar to these photos. My apologies for the low quality of the photographs, I took them with my mobile phone.
There you have it. That is what I have been doing recently.
Buy a copy, it will make you feel good about yourself, lol.

English Study: Ochanomizu, Nova
NOVA 御茶ノ水校
I have working for one of the franchises of the new nova. I know I said I would not work for them and it is true. I am not working for them, I am working for the franchise owner. My contract is with him, NOT with nova.
So for those who want to practice their English but are not so serious about it and do not want to spend a lot of money, well come to Ochanomizu nova ( 御茶ノ水校 ), it is only a 2 minutes walk from Ochanomizu JR station & Shin-Ochanomizu Metro-station (Chiyoda-line) or a 5 minute walk from Ogawamachi station (Toei Shinjuku-line).
There is the address, telephone number and access to Ochanomizu branch (御茶ノ水校):
東京都千代田区神田駿河台 4丁目 2番地 3号 プリザイド御茶ノ水ビル 1階
Telephone Number; ( 03 ) 6912 1078
If the above branch is not good for you then try one of the other franchise branches but NOT the G-COM branches.
Join one of the franchise branch because they will treat you better and respectfully.
The G-COM branches only want your money.
Also they will want you to take off your shoes because they think they can treat you like children. Please refuse to take off your shoes.
They have this rule because (A) the want to delay you for sales talking and (B) they think that Adult students are child-jukku students and must treated like children.

Long time no write, Sorry.
Greetings & Salutations Everyone,
I'm so sorry for not keeping my blog up to date with new things from me but I have been a little busy lately with job hunting and getting things in order plus a little lazy with my blog and keeping in touch with you all.
I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me or at least turn a blind-eye to my faults.
I have not found a good full-time job yet that meet my two main requirements. Most of the full-time jobs, I have seen or interviewed for, either do not pay enough salary to support my life or involve teaching creates 12 years old & under, and as you all well know I absolutely can't stand teaching children. They are OK if kept at a distance I suppose.
I am working part-time for a company called 日米英語学院 (Nichibei Eigo Gakuin) or in English (Nichibei English Service). They have a long history in Japan since 1945/46 I think. There are three branches in Tokyo (東京): Shinjuku (新宿), Shibuya (渋谷) and Ikebukuro (池袋). I am teaching company lesson out of the branch for the Shinjuku branch and in branch teaching for the Shibuya branch.
I very much enjoy working for Nichibei; the branches are clean and very professional looking, the staff are professional and have lovely personalities and the students a great because they are, all in some way, serious about learning to communicate in English. As a teacher when you have students who want to learn and want to improve, it makes your teaching work a joy and a pleasure.
Well that is basically it for now.
Oh yeah! that's right, I almost forgot. Sometime soon (if I am not too lazy) I will put my English-Study-Worksheets on my blog. These worksheet have different themes/topics/points that cover various grammatical & structural points, expressions & natural-phrases uses and, exercises & tasks to help learners of English to expand their sentences plus help improve their communication in English.
Those of you who are studying English or are teaching English, please check my blog once in a while for these worksheets. I will probably start posting them at the beginning or middle of July 2008.
Until next time, have a wonderful day/night and Sweet Dreams.
